DFI - 7 Devices

 DFI - 7 Devices

The Manaiakalani Journey - The passion for the cause was very apparent in today's discussion.  The way that Manaiakalani has evolved and the ethos on which it is based is quite simple but effective.  Create, Share and Learn may sound basic but the way in which it is delivered is an organisational dream and Dorothy made it relatable and interesting.  Puts a lot of questions to rest after that introduction for the morning.

Eeeekkk using Explain Everything could've been better done by a New Entrant!  A fun tool but I found it difficult to use and questioned it's worth for my students.  Must realise though that I may very well be selling their preferences short and looking after my own interests ie putting in the too hard basket.

Chromebooks- The daily go to tool for my class and it really was great to see and use and learn all about the keyboard and the shortcuts.  Almost always get the kids to do whatever and never really thought too much about using or learning how they manoeurve around their Chromebook

Really loved doing the Digital Dig but had to leave and attend another part of the DFI.  Seeing these slides always gives me ideas about how i can use the framework to add colour, interest and an element of challenge to my students work and allow them to take some ownership for their learning.

A good day.  An informative day.  A day to play and learn.
